Ponsey Photos FTW

As a tribute to the endless hours I've been spending pissing my life away on the computer this college holiday - some tasty photos of the rubbish on my desk. The reflections on the screen of my normal camera are purple, isn't that awesome? Also, blogger uglifies my photos greatly, to view them in their grainy glory do click on them!

P.S. Am I a total philistine (yes) or is Brighton Rock actually really boring and grim? But it's set in my town, that's so cool D':

Floral

For my trip but Budapest I made another 'Danielle' dress from last year. This time it was in a slightly stiffer poplin and I added a curved shirt style hem, which I am kind of obsessed with at the moment. It was a pretty good marker of how much I've improved in a year, this took me a couple of hours to make and the last one took a couple of days.

If anyone wants their own the pattern's free here. The new Burdastyle website just launched, though, so it's really buggy. You have been warned.

The Monster Liiiives!

OHAI.

My apologies about the huge gap in between my posting, but I just haven't felt like I've had anything to contribute to the internets. I will try hard to keep up again, though! It's been relatively eventful in my life since I've been gone, I had my 17th birthday (I'm so ancient) and went on a college trip to Budapest which was super cool. I shall attempt to get some photos up soon. In the mean time, though, OMG LOOK AT HOW ADORABLE LITTLE PELUCHE IS!

Shoddy work

I am an unfit mother of this blog, I know! Anyway, a small update on my deeply exciting life (haha) - It has been super hot so we broke out the adorable little orange barbecue and had dinner in the garden. Lovely~

Also, I have had my hair dyed at a proper hairdressers and It's not black anymore. I keep getting a shock when I see myself in the mirror! They had to bleach it twice to get the colour out and for a while it looked like I had a huge frizzy orange mullet. Not pretty. But you have to suffer to be beautiful!

X-TREEM!

A brief interval in my never posting anything interesting or useful with this ridiculously awesome viral advert thing 'Extreme Sheep Herding'! And it's actually real, too, just sped up. It made me chuckle.

P.S. I'm all out of practice with college, it's so knackering!

BABY CATKINS!

He's super fluffy! And amazingly self-possessed, the two older cats appear to be scared of him! Deary me, such wimpyness.

This wiiiide eyed look is his default expression. Everything is clearly very shocking when you're so small! Very cute, though. His eyes are a really unusual yellowy brown colour with a ring of dark green around the pupils, doesn't show very well in the photos but looks ace in real life.

I LOVE HIM!

Jeggings?

These here are my new favourite trousers of all time. I was slightly worried I'd look like an extra from Pretty in Pink or something off of the eighties in them, especially with the styling on Asos. Stone-wash denim jacket with the sleeves cut off, anyone? Yeah, me neither. So I nearly didn't buy them but then the wondrous Susie Bubble showed off her pair and I bought them instantly! And now I want more slightly ridiculous clothing, I don't even like floral prints! Just you wait, I'll be so FASHION before you know it.

The also go exceedingly well with the violently blue cardigan I tried to dye grey (but came out this sort of dark tealy colour) Nom nom.

In rather more distressing news - no kitten yet! The woman we're getting it off's hamster died and she didn't want two animals to be gone in one day (bless). I CAN'T STAND THE SUSPENSE. For now, though, look at Zafra's cute little foot as he sprawls over my revision. Awwrr

Reunited!

God golly gosh it's been a long time since I posted! I'm sorry, internets. Anyway - I finished all my exams and they went vbery badly but whatever and since then I have discovered the wonders of the Sims 2 and have not been able to tear myself away from it for a solid day since! I have 9 expansion packs on there! (my mates are into it too). And tomorrow (or possibly the day after) I'M GETTING A 3-MONTH-OLD BLACK AND WHITE FLUFFLY KITTEEENNNN! Can you tell I'm excited?

I have also made a dress that is quite posh looking but a little bit too big which I mentioned here. I did it in black with a creamy white collar. A little bit Wednesday Addams/puritan/5-year-old going to a funeral but whatevs, I like it.
I also made a pair of trousers (my first) which fit really nicely on the top but surprisingly loosely on the legs. Stupid massive arse! So the sun was too bright yesterday and the pictures turned out really bad, but at least I've managed to get something to post. Whoop!

They do look like slim trousers in the official pictures, don't they? I'm going to take them in, but they'll do for now. I have so many other things on the go too.

Wham Bam!

And just like that the Cicero exam is done. I think the worst part of the whole ghastly affair is that strange sense of anti-climax once it's all over. Like - have I really just most of a year and many hours learning and relearning what some politician did 2,000 years ago for 90 fairly stressful minutes of writing? Weird. Still, at least I have a week off until my next one. Ahhhh....

And to fill in some space (as I haven't had any time to do anything at all) here are my final prints from my Photography exam. Hurrah!

They were all on one board (they were all properly mounted in black boards with mitered edges and everything. So cool!

And then my second board had 9 little square pictures. In the real thing they were arranged in a much better way, but it's really hard figuring out how they look on the bighugelabs thingy.

My creation

And now all there is to do is hope I don't fail. No results until AUGUST. Aaargh!

I DIE.

I'm completely inundated with revision. ARG MY FIRST EXAM IS ON TUESDAY. Etc etc. I've been listening to David Bowie albums on repeat to keep my spirits up. Dear god this is literally the best song in the world. OH NO LOVE YOU'RE NOT ALONE! BLA BLA BLAAAAA~!
